In his present position, he manages the firm’s litigation department representing health care providers seeking reimbursement from financially responsible entities, including commercial health insurers, governmental health plans, ERISA plans, and government entities. Prior to his current position, Mr. Lovich was the Managing Attorney at Lovich & Isaac from 2002 to 2005, Managing Attorney with Lovich & Penn from 1991 to 2002, and Assistant Managing Attorney with Tucker & Lovich from 1986 to 1991.

In preparation for his career in law, Mr. Lovich first earned a Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, in Political Science, from California State University, Northridge, in 1980. He went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate at Loyola Law School of Los Angeles in 1983. Mr. Lovich is admitted to practice in the State of California, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

A certified instructor by the National Association of Trial Advocates, Mr. Lovich is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys, the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), and the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) for which he serves as national Legal Counsel. Additionally, he has been the chairman of the Law and Ethics Committee of the Western Regional Chapter of AAHAM.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lovich has conducted numerous training and educational programs as well as being a contributor to numerous national professional journals, including the Journal of Healthcare Administrative and the Journal of Healthcare Administrative Management. Mr. Lovich has created and implemented national trial skills programs and seminars, as well as having lectured on litigation skills and trial advocacy. He has also lectured extensively on healthcare contractual and reimbursement issues and, in 2016, testified before the United States Senate Committee on behalf of AAHAM regarding the impact of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act on the healthcare industry.

In recognition of his contributions, Mr. Lovich has been honored with multiple awards. Every year since 1995, he has held an “AV-Preeminent Peer Rating for Highest Professional Excellence and Ethical Sanding” from Martindale-Hubbell, and has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer each year since 2012.
