We can all agree on one thing – 2020 will be remembered as one of the most challenging and memorable years in the history of our nation. Despite these challenges, we are lucky enough to be alive, healthy and have a job that we love to do and which actually makes a difference in the lives of others. As you know, our efforts to hold these payers accountable ensures sustainability of our health care institutions where resources are currently being stressed.

We are also fortunate to work with an extremely diverse group of people with different views especially as it relates to religion and politics. And this is good. Our strength and success as an organization has been the result of ALL these differences and this will never change as long as Joy and I continue to lead this organization.

As a highly diverse group, we want to support the movement across the nation which seeks to highlight the prejudicial policing which has been devastating to minority communities.  Over the course of the recent weeks, we have had to navigate the grief we feel over the losses of many who have been killed in blatant acts of violence fueled by intolerance and racism.

SAC  supports those that stand up for what’s right, even when doing so is hard. SAC stands with the black community and all communities of color and we will continue to promote diversity within our law firm because we believe in creating a firm where people are inspired to learn more about each other. This approach will make us even more successful as well as solve many of our societal issues.

There is always more we all can do and we should hold each other accountable and continue to find ways to do better. But this much we know, what we do now matters.
