Mr. Sanghvi joined the firm in 2018 as an associate in the firm’s Southern California office. He specializes in healthcare litigation and insurance coverage issues. He represents major California healthcare providers in state and federal civil actions, mediations, and arbitrations against health plans, insurance companies and government entities. Litigated issues typically involve interpretation of California’s Knox-Keene Act, the federal Employee Retirement Income and Security Act (“ERISA”), and the federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (“EMTALA”), as well as general contract and other business disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sanghvi’s practice included business litigation, personal injury, and corporate transactional matters. While at Loyola Law School, Mr. Sanghvi was President of the Student Bar Association for two years, during which time he initiated several projects to provide greater professional networking opportunities for the students and enhance funding for the student-led cultural and legal organizations on campus. Mr. Sanghvi was also President of the South Asian Law Students Association.
He volunteers for the Pasadena Humane Society, an organization that helps shelter animals improve their psychological and behavioral health and develop socialization skills to increase their chances of adoption into good homes. Mr. Sanghvi is a founding member of Revolution Sports LA, a charity-focused adult co-ed sports league.
In his free time, Mr. Sanghvi enjoys competitive football and soccer and playing the guitar.
