SAC partners have worked for government agencies and this experience gives our clients an edge in their litigation efforts.  Prior to founding SAC, managing partner, Joy Young Stephenson, was employed by the California Department of Health and Human Services where she was responsible for a number of administrative decisions which affected providers in the Medicare and Medi-Cal area. Senior partner, Vincent Acquisto, previously worked with the U.S. Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), now known as the Center for Medical and Medicaid Services (CMS).  While at HCFA, Mr. Acquisto was involved in promulgating regulations governing reimbursement, fraud and abuse for the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
